Finding Free Debt Management Advice

If you find coping with bills is tough, you can find free debt management advice from several places.

A lot of detailed information is online, or you can call experts at the end of a phone or arrange a face to face meeting.

Many other organisations offer free debt advice. Try calling your local council or dropping in to a law centre if you want to chat with someone locally about your finances.

If you run a business, Business Debtline has specialist advice for the self-employed or directors of small limited companies.

The government\'s Insolvency Service web site has leaflets and help sheets to download covering bankruptcy and other debt issues covered by county courts. You can also call for advice on 0845 602 9848.

Most of these organisation offer free debt management, but in some cases may charge fees if you have to go to court or decide a formal debt solution like an individual voluntary administration order (IVA) or bankruptcy is the best course of action.
